About fez & ivy

Inspired by my summers on the North Fork as a child, I’ve always wanted to return and open a shop with the treasures I’ve found over the years and continue to discover locally. After twenty-five years of design trade experience, along with a passion for travel, I am excited to culminate my roots and love of the traditional North Fork with globally influenced design, in creating Fez & Ivy.

My artistic training began with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art, and soon after I completed curatorial interns at art galleries in Soho and Tribeca. Then, working as a visual merchandiser at Anthropologie opened my eyes to a career in home décor and furnishings. I returned to school for a degree in Interior Design from NYSID, followed by a position at Rockwell Group as a hospitality designer, focusing on restaurants. I continue to design for both residential and hospitality environments.

In Architectural Sales, I have sold tile and stone, rugs, and flooring for several manufacturers consulting as the design and technical expert for Architects and Interior Designers in both San Diego and NYC. Projects range from high end residential, to commercial and hospitality both domestically and internationally.

Home on the East Coast now, antiques and collectibles from both sides of my family fill my cottage in Greenport. Growing up I may not have appreciated the antiques that filled our homes, but as I grew older, I began to notice the details. Like Aunt Daphne’s themed Christmas trees—one year antique bulbs, the next vintage teddy bears. And my mother, Deborah’s, vast collection of depression glass that I continually steal pieces from. Combing antique stores with my mother and aunt quickly became one of my favorite things to do when visiting home.

Now with a shop of my own, I focus on a thoughtfully curated collection of rugs and wallpaper, found antiques and vintage, along with new home accessories and gifts. I hope you will come in to visit.
